Rakuten Singapore


Rakuten, Japan’s number one online shopping mall, launched its e-Commerce store and Asia headquarters in Singapore. Rakuten is a household name in Japan with over 75 million members using its site to purchase an extensive array of items. The new Singapore site features 150 Japanese and local merchants with approximately 100,000 products.

Programming, experience creation and event management.

Project Objective

The launch event was aimed at generating maximum awareness of Rakuten and what the Singapore e-commerce store had to offer. One key objective was to differentiate Rakuten from the existing players by focusing on the access it can provide to high quality Japanese goods across all categories. The event was designed to position Rakuten as an awe-inspiring global online retail company and generate buzz on its extensive product offering.
